DAAG DEHLAVI Daag was one of the last great poets of the golden age of Dehli. Maulana Hali's lamentation on Dehli's cultural decline makes a particular mention about Daag.
Daag's forte was gazal. Unlike Mir and Fani, Dag's poetry does not center around despair and depression. Like Mirza Sauda, his style was cavalier and his diction exuberantly fresh.
