Health Promotion
Unmanaged stress and chronic tension are recognized health hazards. Tension tends to concentrate around acupressure points which inhibits circulation and causes stagnation of the bodily flows; the nerves, lymphatic ducts, and blood vessels. In order to relax muscular tension and balance the vital life forces of the body, acupressure utilizes a system of points (which have a high electrical conductivity on the surface of the skin) and meridians (the pathways along which the energy flows from point to point). Acupressure releases muscular tension, enabling the blood to flow freely and allowing toxins to be released and eliminated. When blood and energy are circulating properly, we have a greater sense of harmony, health, and well-being. Acupressure balances the emotions by releasing the associated tension caused by repressed feelings, and by increasing a person's overall awareness of tension in the body. Improving your body's ability to cope with stress can ultimately benefit personal and business relationships.

Pain Relief
Acupressure relieves muscular tension and relaxes the nerves, producing a tremendous calming effect. Often a nurturing, healing touch can eliminate or greatly reduce pain.

Fitness & Sports
Acupressure helps improve muscle strength and tone, and benefits sports injuries by increasing circulation and reducing pain. Acupressure is a complement to, not a substitute for medical care Regular acupressure sessions release the build-up of daily pressures and tensions, and keep the body resilient and healthy.

The Acupressure Session
An individual acupressure session usually lasts one hour and does not require removing your clothes. During that time, an acupressurist will use a variety of techniques covering most of the body. The contact should feel balanced somewhere between pain and pleasure.
