Henry Rufus MANN was born 3 April 1860, to William Robert and Susan E. HARRIS MANN, probably in Milton Co. GA.  By trade, Henry Rufus followed in the footsteps of his father and became a blacksmith. 

Henry married Mary Lee (Mollie) Stewart (b. 11/25/1860 d. 4/19/1918) in 14 Jan 1883 in Cherokee Co. GA.

After Mollie's death in 1918, Henry raised Mary Lee alone.  He remarried to Metsie MOON and moved to a farm in Kennesaw for a short time .  This marriage was short-lived and Henry returned to Cherokee Co.

Henry Rufus died 16 June 1931 in Cherokee Co.  He and his wife Mary lie at rest in the historic Hickory Flat Cemetery near Canton GA along with a number of their children. 

Many descendents of Henry's still reside in the Canton - Hickory Flats (Cherokee Co.) area
