Millennium Football League Press Release February 25,
2001
Millennium League equipped with 12 teams
On February 23, 2002 the Millennium Football League held
it's 2nd league meeting in Atlanta GA,
with seven of the eight teams returning from the 2001 season along with the
five new teams.
The new additions fulfilled the expansion plan introduced in 2001 by President
Lamond Twitty.
These teams are Iredell Cougars NC, Gwinnett County
Patriots GA, Gastonia Gladiators NC,
Georgia Blitz GA and the Gwinnett Titans GA,.
MFL is now equipped with 12 teams capable
of competing for the national title. The MFL has reconstructed it's
conferences from four teams two
conferences to four teams three conferences. These conferences are
North, Central and South.
The Millennium Football League Season will start on June 22, and will end
regular season play
on September 28,. Millennium Bowl III will be played on November 02,
2002.
