Cape Hatteras Vacation

All of the beaches on the Outer Banks are a part of Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This beach is south of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

Many come to Cape Hatteras for the fishing, others for the beauty of the area. In the background is Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. More on the lighthouse later.

The folks are June, Josh, and Sarah. The location is in Buxton Woods, near Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

If you stood on one of the barrier dunes, you would see the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and Pamlico Sound to the west. Here is Canadian Hole, a shallow area on the sound, well known for being "the place" to windsurf. The water is very shallow; Josh and Sarah could walk well away from shore.
