Tobacco Card Reference Books

There are a number of reference books that are a MUST when collecting the American series of Cigarette and Tobacco cards, all are listed below in order of usefulness and can be purchased from me. Quantities are very limited for some titles.

1. THE AMERICAN CARD CATALOGUE, The 1967 version and most recent reprint of J.R.Burdick’s classic book detailing and categorising all of the cards in the Tobacco series, as well as hundreds of trade cards, gum cards and many other paper collectibles. This is THE book that everyone uses to assign a reference identification number to a particular series. CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK -.

2. AMERICAN TOBACCO CARDS, Published in 1999. A monumental work by Robert Forbes and Terence Mitchell. 464 pages packed with details on many N and T card series, lists of the cards in all the series, details on the tobacco issuers, photographs and much much more. The most up to date reference guide currently available. If you collect American Cigarette cards you MUST have this book on your desk. 3. THE WORLD TOBACCO ISSUES INDEX (commonly referred to as the "World Index"), a brand new update of the orginal 5 volume set issued by the Cartophilic Society of Great Britain. This was just released at the end of 2000. It has been updated and expanded to include all tobacco issues from around the world upto the year 2000. This is THE most complete and informative listing of Tobacco cards. This is offered as a two volume set, hard bound with gold lettering on the spline. 600+ pages packed with information on the card issues of all the tobacco companies. CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK -

4. CIGARETTE CARD VALUES, 2003 EDITION. THE Annual Sales Catalog put out by Murray Cards International Ltd, London, UK. Used by all British dealers as the Guide for Cigarette card pricing. Has Three sections, Part 1 - British Tobacco Manufacturers; Part 2 - Overseas Tobacco Manufacturers; Part 3 - Non-Tobacco Issues. A useful reference Guide. CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK -
