Starbuck is a 1/2 New Zealand Chilean on his sire's side--Adelante was one of the males imported by Kay Patterson and purchased by Cascadia until he was recently sold to a California group including Jim Williams. We purchased his dam, Julieta, already bred to *Adelante and Starbuck was born on our farm. Julieta has had 4 crias--3 boys and 1 female. She has not had any birthing problems and has plenty of milk. Her cria are very gentle and easy to handle.

Starbuck's paternal 1/2 sisters include Julianna de Cascadia and Haute Tomales; Astrakhan and McRainey are paternal uncles; a paternal aunt is Connie McKinnon.

"Mikey" stands 48" at the withers and 75" to the top of his head. He was bred and shown by Toni Landis. His sire stands 47.5" at the withers and his dam is 45". Mikey's full brother, Tango Charlie, was part of the group of llamas Kay Patterson and Toni exported to Japan in 1996; his full sister, Tisane, won 1st place for medium wooled females in the halter competition at the 1996 COLA and was sold for $3,500 at the Jan. 1997 sale in Texas; a 3/4 sister, Miss Lemon, was the high-selling llama for $8,500 at the same sale. Ron and Maggie Schuler just purchased the newest (and last--sire Vis-A-Vis passed away in 1997) full sibling--Merit who won the 1998 Spring Celebrity.for Class 3 and also the ALSA Grand Nationals.

He is passing his size and color onto all of his offspring. To date he has 6 females and 2 males--see them on the cria page or on the lineage page.
