Jack Sanbower founder of the central Maryland based No Leeway Band has been performing professionally for over 30 years. He continues to carry the bluegrass music tradition to today's audience with original banjo material and instrumentation rivaled by few.
      He is a veteran of stage, TV, radio and studio. Jack's stage presence and musicianship have won him loyal audiences and fans wherever he have entertained. Sanbower's banjo virtuoso stylings has taken him to many events and venues up and down the east coast and in the midwest.
      Jack's wide traditional repertoire and versatile musical program reflect past and current musical styles and if asked will tell you he plays "traditional bluegrass music with a contemporary flair".       Maryland banjo player and band leader of The No Leeway Band, Jack Sanbower has released a new compilation CD entitled "Echoes of a Legacy". The album features 13 original songs penned by Jack Sanbower for the banjo and 1 classic number "Lady of Spain" made famous by Don Reno and Alan Shelton.
      The compilation was recorded at several studios in Maryland over the past 15 years. Over this period, The No Leeway Band released 7 projects that included banjo insturmentals written by Jack Sanbower. Buck Hollow Records has taken this previously released material, remastered, and added 2 new tracks with the current No Leeway Band to highlight Jack's banjo abilities.
    Along with past and present No Leeway Band members, some of the most notable musicians that appear on this CD are Fred Travers (Seldom Scene), Troy Engle (Mark Newton Band), Arron Till (Mark Chestnut, The Wild Valley Boys, JD Crowe, Jim & Jesse) Darren Beachley (Traverlers), Scott Eager (Spirits of Bluegrass), and Pat White (The US Navy Band, Country Current).
