| L'Idea is published in Italian in NYC [Brooklyn]. Created in 1974 by a young group of volunteers from the "Molese Cultural Club," this periodical was born and its content evolved. Over time, L'Idea has changed from a bi-monthly to a quarterly but its focus has remained constant: news that pertains to the Molese community in the USA. Throughout its ups and downs, L'Idea has adapted itself to the changing needs of its readers. |

For instance, this is why L'Idea evolved from a broadside to a
magazine
with a reduced format [8.5" X 11"] but with many more pages, always
aiming to cover the activities of the Italian and Pugliese community
around the globe, a group that's always followed the developments
of this publication.
Then and now, L'Idea exists to serve the Pugliese community
in the USA.

Leonardo Campanile, Publisher, born in Mola di Bari. In the USA since 1972, he's been innovative in his involvement with L'IDEA since 1974; he founded "Miss Puglia" 1992; and serves as the President, Molese Cultural Club; and President, Information Committee, Comites di NY e CT. With his wife Maria, he coordinates the annual scholarship pageants. |

Tiziano Thomas Dossena, Editorial Director, born in Milan; in the USA since 1968, he's been active in L'IDEA for over a decade and serves as Secretary, Comites di NY e CT. A member of the NY Academy of Science, he's a columnist for Bridge Apulia USA published in English in Lecce and maintains L'IDEA's web site. |

LindaAnn Loschiavo, Columnist,
native New Yorker, is on the Board of Italian Americana and was their
Featured Poet last year. Her reviews and writing appear here and
abroad. Active in NYC cultural affairs, she's also taught writing at Hunter College and NYU. Her family comes from Naples, Lipari, Stromboli. |
| L'Idea è una rivista pubblicata in lingua nell' America (Brooklyn). Creata nel 1974 da un gruppo di giovani volenterosi del Circolo Culturale di Mola, questa rivista nacque come giornale, sia come contenuto che come formato. Con il tempo L'Idea venne modificata da mensile a trimestrale, dando enfasi alle notizie della comunità molese negli USA. Con vari alti e bassi, la rivista ha sempre cercato di modificarsi in diretto rapporto ai bisogni dei lettori. |

Questa è la ragione per cui L'Idea è diventata una
rivista di formato ridotto,
ma di un numero di pagine superiore, puntando sempre di più alla
comunità
pugliese nel mondo, che ha dato nel tempo validi segni di interesse agli
sviluppi di questa rivista.

e italiana
