Truth and Sincerity
The
World Research Institute for Science
and Technology was formed by
Rev. Sun Myung Moon in the
early 1980’s. Although
various projects have been
undertaken with varying degrees
of technical and financial success,
the most important assignment
has been the making of a
“Spirit World Machine”.
As
“homework” for this project, we were asked to study “how mediums do what they do”. As I was studying the top character for “Truth” in the calligraphy for W.R.I.S.T., it reminded me of the symbol for OM (or AUM) in Hinduism and Buddhism. Thus began my attempt to understand inter-religious mysticism, which resulted in the formation of this notebook.
