This entire FISHER page, is in dedication to my late Grandfather, Roger C. Fisher. Not only did I learn about our family and it's history throughout my childhood, I also learned what a true sense of family actually means. I love and miss him so......

Our earliest Fisher's start with Ludwig FISCHER. We are decended off of Adam Fisher Jr. born 1783, the son of Adam Fisher Sr. a veteran of the Revolutionary War and Magadelene Garr. Adam Jr, was a Veteran of the War of 1812 and one of the first setteler's in Jackson county Missouri.

Adam was first married to Nancy Waller, whom died in St. Charles county Missouri. With Nancy, he had several children. Considering that this Fisher family is very large for several generations, I will list just the basic information. Adam Fisher Jr born 17 July, 1782 Culpepper County VA died 22 Feb 1860, Jackson county MO. Came from Mercer county KY around 1830. He first married Nancy Waller in Mercer county KY. Second, he married Letty Jones Laws, a widow in Jackson county Missouri, 26 March 1839.

George Waller Fisher, dob 09 Feb 1822, Mercer county KY. Son of Adam Jr and Nancy, he married Mary Ellen Crow 09 Dec 1847 in Jackson county MO.

William Adam Fisher, dob 13 June 1850, married Sarah Ann Gibson, daughter of Silas Harvey Gibson and Elizabeth Slaughter, 28 Oct 1874, Jackson county MO.

George Fredrick Fisher, dob 10 Dec 1879, married Lizzie Maud Chrisman, daughter of Albert Murphy Chrisman and Alice Fisher Hedges, 20 August, 1907, Jackson county MO.

Roger Chrisman Fisher, dob 16 April 1919, married Edith Moneymaker, daughter of John Moneymaker and Elsie Amanda Click, 20 Jan 1940, Jackson county MO.
