Valley Quilt Guild of Yuba City 2006 Opportunity Quilt
This opportunity quilt was made by nine members of the Valley Quilt Guild from Robert Callaham's patterns found in the McCall's Quilting magazine. Robert was most impressed when he viewed the quilt. Dereck Lockwood did the quilting. The quilt measures 96 X 104 inches. A lucky winner will be drawn Sunday, March 19, 2006 at 3 PM. For more information, please email Shirley.

The 2002 Opportunity Quilt measures 72 1/2 inches square. The block patterns came from Jane Townswick's book Artful Applique - The Easy Way, with the quilt layout by Rosemare DeSalvo. The winner of this quilt was drawn at the September 3rd meeting. KIXE - channel 9 in Redding Our local PBS station, had a wonderful Opportunity Quilt donated by Bonnie Costin of Anderson, CA. This is a hand appliqued, hand quilted & machine pieced quilt, which uses log cabin blocks in combination with some lovely appliquéd flowers.

Rhapsody It is all hand quilted . The blue has hand quilted humming birds and the white has a flower that is also quilted. It is really beautiful! It is appliqued and pieced. The winner was drawn in July, 2001. The Foothill Quilters Guild of Auburn, CA
