My name is Joan Hall (B.S., R.N., C.N.M.).  I've been working with childbearing women since 1986.  I've been blessed to be at hundreds of births in homes, birth centers, and hospitals.  I got my license as a nurse-midwife in 1995.  My desire is to make natural birth a possibility for women in all settings.
 

After so many years of helping other women have babies, I have finally started a family of my own.  I got married in 1998 and I now have two beautiful stepchildren, ages 8 and 9, plus my precious home-born baby, (2 years old as of 05-13-01).  Combining midwifery and motherhood is a challenge, but like pregnancy, you just have to take it one day at a time.
