GI CHOKE

1. While your opponent is in your guard, secure a grip on one collar behind the ear (as shown) with four fingers inside - thumb out, palm up. | |
| 2. Your other hand should come under the first, and secure the same grip on the other side of your opponent's neck. | ||
| 3. Be sure your palms are facing up, and the grip is tight with both hands deep in his collar and no extra space. | ||
| 4. To finish the choke, pull your elbows out to either side of your body and down to your belt. |
