Oyster Bay Remembered by Town Historian John E. Hammond is on sale in our bookstore. Earle-Wightman House Headquartered in the historic Earle-Wightman House museum and library, the Society has provided tourists, students, scholars, and historians with craft exhibits, lectures, maps, photographs, historical and genealogical documents for more than 40 years. In recognition of our contribution, the museum has been designated an historic site on the Revolutionary War Heritage Trail.

17th Century Dutch Ship.As the Town of Oyster Bay commemorates its founding in 1653, we are proud to publish The Early Settlement of Oyster Bay by by John E. Hammond. Going back to the original Dutch and English sources, Mr. Hammond's research "will necessitate the rewriting of every book on Long Island history," according to OBHS Director Kuehhas.
