Favorite Genealogical Links

Arkansas Genealogical Society - The society is just getting this set up and there is still some work to do on it, but Tracy Converse deserves lots of praise for what has been done.  Thanks Tracy!

Arkansas Research - Our friend Desmond Walls Allen's website.  A great resource for those doing research in Arkansas.

Beginners Guide to Family History Research - This was done by Desmond Allen and Carolyn Billingsley.  They have graciously published this on the web for all to use.  However, if you wish to order a hard copy you may do so at the Arkansas Research site.

Chicot Co. Arkansas Historical & Genealogical Society - Great site for those of you searching in south Arkansas, but there are a lot of links to some other helpful sites of genealogists.

Everton's Genealogical Helper - The best genealogical publication out today.  Decade old, it is a great source of advertising for books, lost ancestors etc.  The website has some paid genealogical services.

Joe's Corner  - This is an eBay Auction site that sales LOTS of historical, genealogical, theological and rare used books of various types...as well as other items.  Worth a look.

Oklahoma Historical Society - The website provides some indexes, inventories and materials relating to various collections found at the Society which is located in Oklahoma City.  If you have Oklahoma connections check this one out.

Roots Web - The Internet's Oldest and Largest Genealogy Community - Great place for various database searches.

US Genweb Project - Is a group of volunteers working together to provide Internet websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States. This Project is non-commercial and fully committed to free access for everyone.
