150 Million Touches and Going...
MicroTouch Proves Durability, Hygienic Features

. . . . METHUEN, MA - MicroTouch Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTSI), the global leader in touch-input solutions, has announced that its ClearTek 3000 capacitive touchscreen has endured 150 million touches with no performance or surface degradation. The results of this ongoing test confirm ClearTek 3000’s extreme durability.
. . . . MicroTouch’s durability test monitors touchscreen performance and condition of the glass surface while recording the number of touches made by repeatedly touching the same point on the screen. ClearTek 3000 surpassed the 150 million-touch milestone in January, and shows no indication of degradation as the test continues.
. . . . "By surpassing 150 million touches, ClearTek 3000 exemplifies our commitment to increase value for our OEM customers through continued product improvement," said Alice Moran, MicroTouch director of ClearTek product marketing. "We’re confident that the validation of ClearTek 3000’s extreme durability combined with its proprietary CleanScreen antibacterial protection will enable us to further expand our leadership in the public-access market."
. . . . Durability and hygienic properties help make ClearTek 3000 touchscreens the most popular touchscreens for public-access and self-service applications. ClearTek 3000 features a proprietary glass surface treatment that provides superior durability, sealability, accuracy, reliability, ease of integration, and optical qualities, all of which are key attributes for public-access OEM applications.
. . . . In addition, ClearTek 3000 touchscreens feature CleanScreen, MicroTouch’s breakthrough, proprietary antibacterial technology. CleanScreen brings confidence of improved hygiene and cleanliness by assuring that bacteria and other microbial contaminants cannot accumulate and grow on the touchscreen surface.
