Genesis 1:1

in the beginning off balance was nothing more than a garage band who actually live in a garage in richmond. after several name changes(teenage stereotype, halfempty, aki ehara and the fairfield five) we settled on off balance. we played some partys and shit in late 1998 and on dec. 30 1998 we celebrated being a band for a year and released our tape "I Am Jake". than we played more parties and shit and we played with our buddies 7 ate 9 and AM and panic and alien skautopsy on march 20 so that was cool. lots of friends showed up. in april we played at my good friend molly's house and we released "THe Sea Travels Of John Starbuck" on may 7 we played at dillions house and it was our best show ever and will from the jocks was there as well of all our friends in the whole world. ben was there and this is his computer.any way then we played pinole rec center again and our set was only 8 songs long and we sucked shit and i broke a string and my heart. next we played with the jocks and los rabbis and bobby joe ebola in SF and the rest is just history.
