The E.H. Stokes Fire Company#3 is one of three volunteer fire companies that form the Ocean Grove Fire Department. The Department serves Ocean Grove, NJ, the historic district of the Township of Neptune. The Fire Company was founded in 1886 and has reorganized twice to reflect its operation. The Fire Company first organized as a hook & ladder company, then as a chemical engine company, and now operates as an engine company.

E.H. Stokes currently has over 40 active members. All active members must attain certification as New Jersey Firefighter 1 within their first year in the company. The course is 96 hours long and members recieve the training at the Monmouth County Fire Academy. Members recieve further training thru regular drills and through advanced education that is also offered at the Fire Academy.

The Fire Company currently operates a 1970 American La France 1500gpm pumper and a 1993 Pierce Dash 1250 gpm pumper.
