Happy & Squeekie

BY ANITA KITCHENS

Herein lies a story of happiness...

I first found Yorkshire Terriers in Reno, Nevada, in 1980. I had seen some cute little silvery dogs before that time but, not being of the dog world, did not know they had their own identity. I was attending a company picnic at the home of John and Shirley Menicucci. They had a litter of three Yorkie puppies that were close to six months old. They had these puppies for this length of time since the sire, "Benjiman," had been killed in an automobile accident shortly before the puppies were due to be born. They also had Maggie, the mom, and a puppy from a previous litter! So, it was a houseful! I fell instantly in love and just had to have one! I convinced Shirley that I would be a good home and a couple of weeks later, I took Annie home! And so, the story begins....
