A. QUAIL FEEDER
These feeders are great to start young birds out in the brooder house and they fit in battery brooders. They work great in holding pens, Johnny houses and recall pens. This galvanized metal feeder will hold five pounds of feed. The feeding trough is only 1/2" wide so the birds cannot leave dropping into the feed. This small trough also helps on saving feed by keeping birds from dusting in the feed and wasting it. Size 12 1/4" long, 6" wide, 5 1/2" high. Gives 24" of feeding space. $10.95

Stress can affect the performance of birds. Be certain you have electrolytes containing vitamin A in their water to relieve the stress from transit, new environment and training. Give birds electrolytes for the first 3-5 days after receipt and any time youput a lot of stress on them. L. A feed grinder is very important if you are brooding day old quail chicks. Most day old quail chicks can go three days without eating. After that, if your feed is too large or too small of crumble they will not eat it. If you have chicks dying on day three and four and didn't have any dying the first two days more then likely your feed is too large or too small of crumble. You want your feed to be the size of a pens point. We grind our feed for the first two weeks of the birds life gradually grinding the crumble larger each time until we no longer have too. $35.00
