The new lead story for the new year is that the class rankings for the new year are out and once again, the Suncoast Sailing Campaign of Robbie Daniel and Jacques Bernier are number 1 in the USA.
  Although the team is thrilled to once again be in the number one position, the tough part is still ahead, continually competing and improving as their competition through out the world will be doing as well.
  As you see from our schedule listed on the calendar page, we have a grueling schedule and along with that goes a grueling financial effort.
  The team is not only concentrating on the competition and the events them selves but on figuring out how to pay for it all.
  With only a small portion of the needed funds expected to come from US Sailing and the US Olympic Committee, the team once again turns to their friends and family for most of their financial contributions.
  It is the teams hopes to be able to secure a sponsor to help off set some of the ridiculously high cost involved in an Olympic Campaign.
  Fortunately, the team can offer signage exposure to a prospective sponsor.  Please don't hesitate to contact Jill at 727-734-0799 if you have a sponsor lead.
  Although money is the heart of what is needed, money is not the only way to help.  The team is also in need of frequent flyer tickets to get to their destinations.
  Fund raising has been a major part of the teams success.  Yard sales, selling candy....you name it.  You would be surprised what your old junk is worth.  If you have anything you would like to donate to the team to sell, please give Jill a call.  They are in constant collection mode for the next yard sale.
