Milk Bottles

I have many milk bottles but mainly collect bottles from either the Long Island, NY, area or from the Lancaster, PA, area.

I especially treasure the "Aggie School" milk bottles that I have in my collection. The State University of New York at Farmingdale was located in the town we lived in when we lived in New York. On a trip to New England one year, we found one of their bottles in an antique store in New Hampshire!

Since moving to Pennsylvania, I have also become interested in the Lancaster County bottles that I find. Some of them can be pretty "pricey"--especially right here in the county. But as you travel further out of the county, the prices do become more reasonable.

I don't have any pix of them right now--but as I get them photographed--I'll add that to this page.

A very rare bottle that I have in my collection is a half-gallon war bonds orange pyro bottle from Kentucky (with the state of Kentucky written out). It is for sale, so if you are interested--you can email me for more details. Both front and back sides are shown here. Bottle is in excellent condition.

I also have had fun combining both my DIVCO toy truck collection and my milk bottle collection. For instance, I purchased a "Blue Bunny" Dairy DIVCO Ertl truck and then was happy to find a Blue Bunny Dairy half-pint milk bottle at an online auction.

I also have collected numerous Rosenberger Dairy bottles (in all sizes) along with all the different size toy trucks that are now available with the Rosenberger logo--and they are a fun addition to "Rosie", my partially restored 1969 DIVCO milk truck.

And then I have always had a liking to Becker Dairy from New Jersey. In fact, I used to own one of their old Becker Divcos (wish I still had it). Here's a look at my combination collection from Becker Dairy.

Trade cards are other fun collectibles--but then that would be another page!
