Presented here are several galleries of nature, scenic, close-up, and wildlife photographic imagery emphasizing a 'sense of place' in a classical tradition. Also here are some images of the non-natural world, information about my exhibits, techniques and technical information, biographical information, print sales and usage rights information, and links to other photographic sites and resources that we are sure you will find valuable and that you will enjoy exploring. New links and features will be added on occasion, and the galleries will be changed and updated with new images or concepts, so please be sure to check back from time to time. A "Featured Image" may occasionally be posted as space allows. Please feel welcome to explore this site and all of its features. Questions and comments regarding any topic are welcome. Photographic Philosophy

None of these images were photographed by depending on any 'tricks,' 'special filters,' or unusual films, nor have they been digitally manipulated in any way to enhance their impact. They represent a commitment to several principles designed to maximize the potential of the photographic medium. Some of these principles include:

• The meticulous application of proper photographic techniques.
• The choice and use of photographic tools and materials which compliment my personal vision and help translate that vision to the photographic medium.
• Making the effort, whenever possible, to maximize the photographic potential of a place by shooting when the light is most complimentary or by exploring unusual lighting opportunities when they present themselves.

Most important, however, is taking the time to slow down, to enjoy and to observe a location with all of my senses, to feel that 'sense of place,' and to be ready to receive the wonderful gifts that the natural world has to offer when it is ready to give them to me.

Mission Statement

We are committed to the photography of our natural world in an ethical manner that is consistent with a respect for all living things that depend on a safe and healthy environment in order to thrive, not just survive, and to emphasize in my work a sense of place and the connection of every living thing on Mother Earth to everything else.
