Welcome to the Presented here are several galleries of nature, scenic, close-up, and wildlife photographic imagery emphasizing a 'sense of place' in a classical tradition. Photographic Philosophy None of these images were photographed by depending on any 'tricks,' 'special filters,' or unusual films, nor have they been digitally manipulated in any way to enhance their impact. They represent a commitment to several principles designed to maximize the potential of the photographic medium. Some of these principles include:
Most important, however, is taking the time to slow down, to enjoy and to observe a location with all of my senses, to feel that 'sense of place,' and to be ready to receive the wonderful gifts that the natural world has to offer when it is ready to give them to me.
