A LETTER FROM OUR PASTORS

Dear People of Our Redeemer,

Greetings during this holy season of Lent! We pray your walk with Christ, our Forgiver and Leader, is a meaningful one as you journey with Him to the cross!

In an effort to keep you informed about the vision for ministry here at Our Redeemer, we are including in this article excerpts from our Pastor’s Report published in the 2001 Semi-Annual Meeting Report:

“As your new pastors, our first year goals involve the following:

1. Getting to know you and your hopes and dreams for Our Redeemer.

2. Team-building with staff and council.

3. Organize church office administratively.

Regarding #2: On January 12th 30 ORLCers gathered to talk about the future of ORLC. This was a great day full of Holy Spirit-led discussion and prayer. The following is a summary of where we are headed:

ORLC LONG-RANGE STRATEGY: PHASE I

The Long-range planning committee will begin to work on specific strategies for each area (Meet, Love, Serve). These strategies will include measurable goals and tools for evaluating success.

Regarding # 3: We are also bringing some organization to the records, files and policies of ORLC. Arrangements have been made for a new phone system, a new photo copier, inter-office networking, and internet access for all computers. These are basic needs for running an efficient and effective office.

Closing Remarks: It is with great excitement that we anticipate the programmatic growth and vitality this year’s goals will bring. And we give thanks to God for His faithfulness to us as we dedicate our lives in service to Him!
