Audio Engineering Services: I specialize in location recording of classical music and jazz, and am experienced in both minimal and multi-mic techniques. As an engineer for WWNO-FM, New Orleans, I have provided masters for National Public Radio and member stations, American Public Radio, and Public Radio International for the last 15+ years. My clients range from individuals requiring recital and concert tapes to symphony orchestras and major jazz ensembles. If you wish to sample my recent work, the following CD's are recommended:

Graphic Design Services: With extensive experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark Xpress, I have been designing logos, doing layouts and executing custom illustrations for clients for the past seven years. This work has been done in conjunction with my audio business, together with numerous other projects, such as conceptual design and backgrounds for animation productions (with my associate Scott Rider), and advertising graphics. The layout and art on these pages serve as an example of my work, and other samples are available on request.

If you are new to Adobe Photoshop, and are wondering how to get the most out of this powerful software package, be sure to have a look at my Beginner's Guide to Retouching With Photoshop. It comes complete with jpeg files, providing detailed examples of each step in an actual cleanup and colorization of a grainy black-and-white image.

Imagineering Services: In conjunction with composer Dr. Stephen Dankner, I designed a custom audio environment system for the New Orleans Aquarium of the Americas. Featuring over 4 1/2 hours of non-repetative custom music, along with a special sound-effects system for the Amazon environment (a 24-hour loop, presenting binaural sounds of wildlife at the times of day they would actally be heard), the MIDI-based system uses no tape, and has no moving parts other than fans and disk drives. The audio is presented throughout the facility in four distinct sections, using nearly 100 discrete speaker locations.

For many years, I have assisted volunteer/non-profit groups by doing custom work for their Halloween haunted house attractions, with effects ranging from simple audio tracks to more complex animatronic systems. I am currently writing a book on this subject for the do-it-yourself imagineer. You may wish to visit the Phantasmechanics website and see for yourself what may be done on a limited budget. Included are a beginner's guide to imagineering, and illustrated effects plans which may be downloaded at your convenience.
