| Officially, this Polaroid was taken by Park Police Investigator Braun
sometime around 7 or 8 on the night of Foster's death. It is one
of 3-4 that she recalled taking of the exterior. But only this one
was officially turned over to Fiske investigators.
Braun recalled that she was photograhing the car when the M.E., Dr.
Haut, arrived. (Haut described the car he saw to Evans-Pritchard as "an
orange compact, a beat up old thing.") Haut's arrival time is discussed
in Sprunt's "Caught: A Falling Starr". Dr. Haut's
own recollection and other evidence in the record puts the time of his
arrival closer to 7:00 than to 8:00 p.m.
It appears to be very dark in the photo for an early summer evening.
Could this photograh have been taken much later?
