Welcome to the electronic home of In Her
Own Write. I chose the name not just for its clever play
on words, but also as a tribute to one of my great
heroes, John Lennon. Baby Boomers and others may remember
the title of John's first book, In His Own Write,
a collection of the kind of wonderfully odd-ball prose
he'd been penning most of his adult life, but which was
suddenly likened by literary critics to the works of
Lewis Carroll. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending upon your point of view, I don't write like Lewis Carroll or John Lennon, but I do write with a creative enthusiasm and style that come from years of professional experience and a lifelong love for the written word. I bring to my clients an extensive background in writing, research, and editing. I have researched, developed, and written materials for public relations and public information, marketing and advertising, education and training, fund raising, political campaigns, and the high-technology industry. I'd like you to know more about my professional experience and areas of expertise. Please use the menu to the left for a biography, and a resume of the kinds of work I do. While you're here, browse the Clinic for some useful writing tips. --Pamela Garrett |
