Welcome From Herb & Hal

Hi. We're The Kalin Twins. We're really twin brothers and our names are Herb and Hal. You may be familiar with our very first hit record "When" recorded way back in 1958. If you'd like to hear it just click on the gold record in our photo above.

We've constructed this web site as a six story "building", each page being a different floor. The structure is made up of memories - sort of a fantasy world. Each floor has its own unique personality and relates to a slightly different aspect of our career. The "Building Directory" below indicates some of the highlights found on each floor.

It's always fun to go on a make-believe journey so get out your dancin' shoes and come on. Take either a slow meander down memory lane or a quick tour, checking out what interests you. You can begin at the elevator at the bottom of this page. (There is the same familiar elevator on every floor so you can't get lost.) Hope you enjoy your stay. And come back and visit anytime. We'll be constantly adding new features and "renovating" the "building" so you'll enjoy every visit. If you are so young that the Oldies world is all new to you then you may have fun just learning about the way it was - way back when. If you DO remember, then we're glad that we're a part of your nostalgic trip.

Just like any library we deal with books here.
You can find out about the book we just wrote and you'll discover just what

Third Floor - Discography Lounge

This is our music room.
Everything you ever wanted to know about our singles, LPs (Remember them?) Cassettes and CDs.
Titles, release dates, labels and all in a newly updated official Discography.
Also hear some of our original records.
And you can dance while you Rate the Records just like on American Bandstand.

Fourth Floor - The Art Gallery

For years we've been Sunday painters,
doing landscapes and portraits of friends, and secretly fantasizing
about seeing them hanging in an art gallery someday. Well, now we have that chance, even though its only make-believe.
We've dug up several of our old paintings to display them here. (They weren't really buried,
just scattered around the house and in the homes of friends.)

Fifth Floor - The Family Room

This is a comfortable setting made for just hanging out. You can look through the old family album here.
Lots of old photographs and a few new ones too.
C'mon up and visit.

Sixth Floor - The Penthouse

Here is a Fun Place. Games, Puzzles and Quizzes all about the 50s and 60s.
