New York City Team Handball Club was formed in 1973 by Ulla Atkinson and Ed Serrepede. It was composed of immigrants, temporary workers of United Nation and anybody who wanted to practice and learn this sport.

Our meetings were held (where else?) in the United Nation school gym. From the beginning our club carried men's as well as women's team. Loyalty, enthusiasm and friendship let the club grow.

In 1992 the team moved to Brooklyn and stays there up to present time. Although competition is very important to all of as, we also treat the participation in practices as a good opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the sport.
