Tony Dyson is the man behind The Empire Strikes Back's R2-D2! He is a versatile Film SFX supervisor (Superman2, MoonRaker, DragonSlayer, and of course, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK).  He received an Emmy nomination for the Sony robot television commercial, with John Cleese's voice over, in 1985.

Just a few of the greats whom Tony has worked with are: Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, John Cleese and The Who's Roger Daltry and Peter Townsend, among others.

Your browser window (bottom-most screen in the PalacePresents viewer) is now opening to a photo of Tony with his "friends" From left to right, R2-D2, Tony, Ultra Phil the android, and the lady keeping an eye on them, a surveillance security mannequin. Behind her C3PO's knickers, and the John Cleese
look-a-like Sony robot, plus one or two helping hands. The slide show will continue during the chat, where you can see excerpts from Tony's works.
Or visit his website at www.robotworld.com
