*KLoggins: I've been working on December in the back of my mind for the past 10 years. I wrote "On Christmas Morning" almost 11 years ago with David Foster. I jumped into the Christmas album right after UL because Columbia records asked for it ... and I felt ready to do it.

had the Xmas spirit since October :-) In your liner notes Kenny you
mention the love that your dad had for Bing Crosby's White Christmas album
and the special significance that it has in your home at Christmas time.
"December" will now hold the same place in the heart of our family.
Was creating a "next generation" of imagery part of your plan when you
selected and wrote your songs for this CD?

Thank you Nancy ... I wanted to write songs that spoke to our generation
the way the great Christmas songs of the 40s and 50s spoke to our parents
and grandparents.

The song "December" is so strong in that way. It brought tears to
my eyes and a smile to my face at the same time - WOW!

December was the one song I've been waiting to write for a long time. I
think that the holiday season tends to be also the "season of denial" when
it comes to letting ourselves feel all the colors and emotions of winter.
NancyC:
It's incredible Kenny. It does all of that and more.
*KLoggins:
Too many people feel as if they're on the outside looking in ... that everyone
is having a good time but them. I wanted to write a song that acknowledges
both sides of the spectrum ... that Christmas is both a joyful time and
a highly charged emotional time ... and that's okay. 
We're all sometimes on the outside
looking in ... that's just the way the holidays are. Maybe if we
all talk about it a little bit more, it won't be such a scary thing.
