Rawhide Rattle

Rawhide Rattle

Don't ask me why I used this color
combination because I know it's bad!!
hehe... But... I thought I would show
it to you anyway as I liked the
beadwork at least.

The rattle is made of painted rawhide
which would have looked a lot better
with a blue variation of beads.  I think
I will end up repainting it to better
match the time-consuming beadwork.

Beadwork Close-up

Ok, at least I can save face with the
beadwork ;)... I took so much care in
matching the bead colors to give a
nice blend, who knows what I was
thinking with that rattle head!

Anyway, the beadwork is done in the
brick stitch, also known as Comanche
Weave, and is done over a small
leather covered twig.
