The s-w side is now quite a hard climb, as recent landslips have forced a change in the route and there are some steep bits. This tunnel through the snow is now buried under a new mountainside. |

The n-e side has several alternative options, with the direct road passing through several dark tunnels. One option uses the other side of the valley altogether and crosses the Col du Mollard
