ELIN

The Founder of SAAS and has returned to her position as President. Elin takes an active role in SAAS, as the librarian, newsletter writer, and just general organizer for almost everything.

Elin's favorite anime include Gokinjyo Monogatari, Hamutaro, Di Gi Charat, Mi Fa Pu, Time Bokan, Ojamajo Doremi and Gatchaman. She also enjoys cosplay, makeup and fashion, especially Japanese fashion.

THE HISTORY OF SAAS Once upon a time, a girl named Elin thought it would be more fun to watch anime with a big group of people than at home alone. So in September 1995, the first ever San Antonio Animation Society meeting was held at the Parliament Square Apartments party room. After a while, SAAS moved to the AMF Country Bowling Lanes party room, where it stayed for many years. After much moving about to many different apartment complex party rooms, SAAS eventually became homeless. Undaunted, it has mutated into a social club for anime geeks, with monthly meetups at various places arond San Antonio. SAAS is a non-profit club dedicated to the promotion and sharing of information about all forms of animation, manga, comics, video games and Asian pop culture, and dedicated to being a social outlet for all San Antonians into geek culture!

	PAT Pat is the Vice-President of SAAS. He maintains the webpage, and handles all complaints. He is a Mac disciple. Pat's favorite anime include Captain Harlock, Omoide Poro Poro, Crayon Shin-chan, Dr. Slump, Nausicaa and Space Cruiser Yamato. He also likes Quake 3 Fortress and is a rabid Sega fan.
	DOUG The second Vice-President of SAAS. Doug's contributions include translation and public relations. He also has extensive knowledge of live action shows and robot shows which he will share if asked. Doug's favorite things are giant robot shows, singing karaoke and Transformers. Ask him to sing the Gao Gai Gar theme sometime!
	MIKE Mike handles registration, assists with the library, and generally makes himself useful during meetings, thus earning the title "The People's Champ". Mike's favorite anime include Lupin III, Yawara!, Getta Robo, Transformers and Dr. Slump. He is also a fan of 80's cartoons and Captain America.
	WILL Will helps with security at SAAS meetings. He is also a talented comic artist who can be found sketching at meetings. Will also has extensive knowledge about manga and manga creators! Will's favorite anime include AiKA, Devilman, Gatchaman, Di Gi Charat, Neon Genesis Evangelion and FLCL.
	JAMES James helps with security at SAAS meetings. He also has vast knowledge about obscure 1970s and 1980s anime, manga and sentai shows, and is a veteran of all previous San Antonio anime clubs. James is the guy to ask when you want to know about "Old Skool"! James favorite shows include Time Bokan, Muteking, Stellar Buster Mito and the entire Tatsunoko catalog.
	KYLE Kyle is the SAAS Tech Wizard. This means he's the guy who handles all the VCRs and the TV at the front of the room. He also has been known to draw helpful maps and run RPGs on occasion. Kyle's favorite anime is anything by Hayao Miyazaki. He also is fond of Cats Don't Dance. Kyle also likes to make music videos.
	CORY Cory is the Video Game Master of SAAS, since he's the one who usually has the newest systems and games and is willing to bring them for all to play. Do not attempt to challenge him at Virtua Fighter. Cory also loves all Miyazaki animation. He also is very fond of Nadia: Secret of Blue Water, Berserk and the King of Fighters video game series.
	DIANA We're not quite sure what Diana's role in SAAS is. She is a talented comic book artist and will always take the time to give tips to aspiring artists. She is also somewhat of an expert on shoujo and yaoi manga and is never seen without art supplies. Diana likes David Duchovny, Harry Potter novels, X: 1999, Jhonen Vasquez and small squeaky things. Oh, and money- she loves money.
	INDY PINDY Indy is the unofficial SAAS mascot. He always helps Elin get things ready for each meeting and assists in typing the newsletter. He lives with Elin and Pat and is the youngest member of SAAS, since he is only 3 years old. Indy likes Double Delights treats, biting the ears of other cats, watching Teletubbies and The Muppet Show and knocking things over. He doesn't really care about anime, but he likes stuffed crane game toys and likes to beat up Pikachu.
