Living Rosary

A scriptural Living Rosary was held at Resurrection of Our Lord Church on May 9th. Ray Szyperski organized the prayer service and Mary Szyperski led us with music & hymns. The inspirational and meditation prayers of the Glorious Mysteries were led by Conrad Janus, of Deacon John Lynn Council. Thirty-three people participated in the prayer service. The intentions were offered in memory of PGK Ed Langr and other Knights who have passed away in the past year. The ladies of the parish provided deserts and refreshments in Kitko Hall afterwards.

Little Sisters of the Poor

On Thursday May 11th, five Knights gave up their evening hours to recite the Rosary with members of the Jeanne Jugan Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor. After a delicious meal the services were started with a May Crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a crown made of roses. Conrad Janus, of Deacon John Lynn Council led the Rosary. The intentions were offered in memory of PGK Ed Langr and members of the Jeanne Jugan Residence whom have passed away in the previous year. Knights Rick Rekus, Larry Bird, and Stan Potter maneuvered the rosary so everyone could hold a bead while they recited a prayer. Sitting in a place of honor in front of the altar was Resident Harry Rohman holding the cross. Sister Rosemarie, our hostess, was everywhere, helping the residents to say the prayers, and encouraging them on.

A full scriptural Rosary was said, using the Glorious Mysteries. There were 51 people in attendance, including 15 religious. We all came away with a deep feeling of satisfaction of time and efforts well spent in bringing some joy and happiness into some senior citizens lives.
