Orignal Lyrics From Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
A Skyway reader who visited The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame wrote in about a collection of hand-written song lyrics by various people, including two songs from Paul - "Here Somes A Regular" and "Bastards of Young". The lyrics are somewhat different than the final versions. This may at last solve what for me was a long-standing lyrical question from "Bastards of Young" which is "What the hell is that rest of that "Elvis in the ground" line? Thanks to Mark Timmons and Matt @ The Skyway for this info.
Here Comes A Regular
Here Comes A Regular
Today I just ain't in the mood
Everybody wants to be special here
Here comes a regular
Took that song off the jukebox
Alongside some older guy
Soon the lights come on
Bastards of Young
chorus:
Clean a baby room, trash that baby boom
chorus
bridge:
lead
Ones that love us best are the ones we lay to rest
