Post Harvest Handling Specialist - International
experience in farm raised Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), whiting/hakes
(Merluccius australis, Merluccius productus, Merluccius gayi, Merluccius
capensis, Merluccius paradoxus) and Hoki (Macruronous novaezelandiae). Developed
raw material for fresh markets in Spain, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa,
EC and the USA. Successfully completed projects in extended shelf-life and
texture preservation combining rapid chilling and low holding temperature
techniques (superchilling) in the USA, Chile and South Africa.. Developed
the TAQCP (c) methodology of Seafood Quality Assurance through temperature
monitoring. Worked with Pacific Albacore Tuna fleet
to develop onboard handling stards to meet FDA
regulations. Contracted with international
processors, third-party inspection agencies and scientific research institutions.
Available for long and/or short term contract assignment worldwide.
