Two years ago in 8/98 Denise and I found out that I had Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. We promised then that whatever treatment and whatever end came about we would give the all the glory to GOD. He has lead us on a two-year path from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for 20 months, to Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital for a Bone Marrow Transplant. I received my brother's donated marrow on 8/25/98, and spent about 43 days in the hospital with a four day break in the middle. It is December now and I am still recuperating at home, but feel good and progressing well. We have come through the "fire" in GOD's arms from your prayers. You have been so faithful to encourage, support, and pray through all of this time. A note, a visit, or gift always came just when it was needed most. I see one clear message through all of this to those who don't believe, there really is a GOD and this is clear evidence of his work. Denise, the boys, and myself appreciate each and every one of you. Your prayers are mighty. Thank you from the depths of our hearts. Love, Paul, Denise, Mikey, and Zack |
