WHY JOIN PARENT FINDERS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION?
Membership has its privileges!

Please Note: Parent Finders is staffed by unpaid volunteers. - We receive no funding from the Government - Fees are used for operating costs only.

• The initial membership fee is $65.00. This fee includes a copy of the 140 page Search Manual (a $15.00 value plus $5.00 postage) and a subscription to the PFNCR Newsletter.
• Annual renewals are $45.00.
• International membership fees are $75.00 Canadian.

1. We enter all your birth information in our database of 12,000 records to check for possible matches with birth relatives;
2. We circulate the birth information (not your current name or address) to private searchers and other search and support groups across Canada;
3. We provide you with a Newsletter every FOUR months;
4. We provide you with free use of our mailing address - should you wish to place an advertisement in the newspaper and assist you in composing the ad;
5. We provide you with free use of our mailing address - should you wish to place a newspaper advertisement - and assist you in composing the ad;
6. We provide safekeeping for your adoption related documents in case you lose your copies;
7. We give you access to people who are experienced in adoption searches and reunions thereby providing much needed peer support;
8. We run REGULAR information meetings where you can bring your questions and make connections; see Meetings;
9. We keep you updated on your existing adoption rights and on upcoming adoption legislation reform;

PARENT FINDERS DOES NOT DO SEARCHES. A volunteer "search buddy" will support you during your search, provide advice on how to make first contact with a birth relative, help you prepare for a reunion and offer peer support for as long as you need us. Special arrangements will be made for international members who cannot do their own Canadian search or research.

Instructions: Complete both pages of the application and sign. Include copies of all adoption related documents that you have received such as your Adoption Order, and non-identifying background information if you have them.
