A Brief Biography
|
|
|
|
Patricia Dominowski is a creative and versatile musician. She organizes and plays chamber music extensively in concerts, maintains a busy private teaching studio, and performs with orchestras, including The Florida Orchestra. She has recently added Celtic and early music to her repertoire, performing with Heather and Lace.
An MTNA Collegiate-Artist Competition winner, she has also premiered works written for her (both in the US and internationally), is a grant recipient from the Pinellas County (Florida) Arts Council, formerly on the Board of Directors for the Florida Flute Association, and is an active Life Member of the National Flute Association, performing at the 2000 national convention. She continues her studies privately with lessons and masterclasses with Peter Lloyd and Wissam Boustany, and formerly with (the late) Geoffrey Gilbert and Albert Tipton.
She also has a background in education, radio broadcasting, computer software, and is Director of Operations for Market Trends Research, Inc.

Teaching experience
29 years teaching private flute lessons, with hundreds of student successes: Florida All-State, All-County, superior ratings at music festivals, and principal chairs held in their school band flute sections.
