David Stern, Rod Thorn, and the NBA must be stopped from ruining
the fine game of basketball. These two men suspended Charlie Ward
for being bodyslammed by P.J. Brown, suspended Allan Houston,
John Starks, and Larry Johnson for breaking up a fight where no
punches were thrown, and suspended Patrick Ewing for standing at
center court ten feet from the Knicks bench. David Stern and Rod
Thorn ignore the fact that the reason no Miami Heat players came
off the bench during the altercation was that referee Dick
Bavetta was in front of the Heat bench and told them not to get
off of the bench. The five Knicks were also fined for their
actions. The day after they suspended those five Knicks, they
decided that Shawn Kemp of the Seattle Supersonics only deserves
a $5,000 fine for punching Kevin Willis of the Houston Rockets in
the back of the head. David Stern and Rod Thorn do not care to
look at the circumstances surrounding the Knicks suspensions
because David Stern only cares about what will make him the most
money, and Rod Thorn is the former head coach and general manager
of the Chicago Bulls who doesn't seem to want the Knicks to play
his former team.
