Welcome to my world...

My name is Philip Miller Tate (that's Miller Tate, two words, no hyphen) and I live in Walton-on-Thames, England, about fifteen miles from central London. I am a chemistry lecturer at Kingston University, Kingston-upon-Thames, and if you're curious, you can check out my research interests there. I am (very happily) married and we have the best son in the world. Many of my internet chums know me by my moniker Ge_Whiz (read on and you'll find out why). Brief CV.

Walton is not a very exciting place, but it is near to Heathrow Airport; Weybridge (where all the nobs and showbiz types live); Ashford (where my parents married on 4th May 1940); Shepperton (of film studios fame); and the beautiful and historic Hampton Court Palace.
