(The Environmental Branch of The Cat Survival Trust)

(Reg. Charity no. 272187)

What is The Earth?

The Cat Survival Trust was registered as a charity in 1976. Its purpose was then simply the conservation of wild cats.
It was soon realised that no single lifeform can be conserved in isolation; all are interdependent –
including ourselves

This led to the formation of The Earth, a branch within the charity devoted to the conservation of the whole environment, without which the work of the parent Trust would be both pointless and impossible.

What are the problems?

  • Pollution of soil, water and atmosphere, causing ill-health in both humans and wildlife

  • Habitat destruction, leaving some animals with nowhere to live and bringing others into conflict with humans

  • Overpopulation by humans, largely responsible for both of the above

  • Let us tell you about…

  • How you individually can contribute to solving the problems

  • How you can help The Earth

  • Other environmental conservation organisations
