Colin's new
play : ON THE ROCKS
ON THE ROCKS
October 18 - 21, 2006
Brewery Theatre
Kendal
A bitter winter's day in the Lake District. Neil and Duncan are stranded
at 3,000 feet, huddled in a snowhole, desperately
trying to stay alive as temperatures plummet and a fierce snow storm rages
outside. Duncan is a novice, Neil is an experienced mountaineer - unfortunately
he's the one with the broken leg.
To make matters much, much worse ... they both belong to Lakeland's newest,
smallest and least well-organised mountain rescue team. With funding at an
all-time low, a bizarre sponsorship deal in the offing and the team leader's
marital problems to argue about - no one's noticed that two of the
team are missing.
This is a play about love, death, fame, relationships, commitment,
squirrels and those funny spiky things mountaineers wear on their boots.

authors of the sell-out comedies

CELADOR PRODUCTIONS WINS NEW COMEDY
COMMISSIONS
Celador Productions has been commissioned to
produce two new comedies, 'Skin Deep', one half hour for Channel 4,
and 'Facing Up', a half hour pilot for ITV1. Both projects have been
written by new writers Mark Oswin and James Griffiths, and were developed
by Vanessa Haynes, Celadors development executive for comedy.
Skin Deep has been commissioned for Channel 4 by Caroline Leddy. It
stars comedy duo Tom Meeten and Steve Oram, as incompatible and bickering
colleagues who run and own their own tattoo and body-piercing studio in Leeds.
Sioned Wiliam, ITV1s Controller of Comedy, has commissioned the half
hour pilot of Facing Up with an all-star ensemble cast which includes
Mark Heap (Spaced, Jam), John Thompson (Cold Feet) and Tom Watt (TLC). Set
in the world of look-a-likes, it tells the story of frustrated wannabee RSC
actor who is forced to rely on his resemblance to a successful but corny
sitcom star he despises to make a living.
Both projects will be directed by Jonathan Fox
Bassett (Teachers, 20 Things To Do Before Youre 30), and will
be produced by Vanessa Haynes, and executive produced by Humphrey
Barclay.

Jasmine's Pilot Radio Show
May 1st 2003
Hi! Come and see 'A Fool and His Money' - a pilot radio show written and
performed by me and my writer/comedian friend Brian Jordan. It will be performed
at the Soho Theatre (21 Dean Street, W1) on Thursday May 1st at 8pm. It's
a sketch show for the financial phobics amongst us. We're performing it with
a view to getting it picked up by a radio comedy producer so do come and
laugh loudly - there will be producers there! Also on that night will be
two short comedy plays by Mark Maier and Pierre Hollins. The night is part
of the 'Comedy Rep' season (www.comedyrep.co.uk) which exists to give comedy
writers and comedians the chance to get other comedy work performed and directed
by professionals. Do book now because the theatre's quite small and, honestly,
it gets booked up very quickly - I know people always say that but it's actually
true this time! Details: Show: A Fool and His Money by Jasmine Birtles and
Brian Jordan, performed by Jasmine Birtles, Brian Jordan, Andrew Alston,
Regina Freedman and Ian Angus Wilkie Time/date: 8pm, Thursday 1st May Place:
The Soho Theatre, 21 Dean Street, London W1 Phone: Box office - 020 7478
