Technical Writing
My technical writing skills are based on 25 years of technical
experience—from Computer System Manager to Technical Communication
Specialist—at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY. Because of my unusual
combination of writing skills, attention to detail, and computer science
background, I have received 10 awards from the Society
for Technical Communication for manuals that I've written.
During my tenure as a Technical Communication Specialist at Kodak, I did
the following:
Managed all phases of
Kodak service documentation—from research to final production—for
PhotoCD and Health Sciences Field Engineers worldwide
Managed projects to
ensure completion before deadlines in the most cost-effective way
possible
Designed, researched,
and wrote software manuals and users’ manuals for Kodak customers
Collaborated with
Design Engineers to accurately document hardware and software products
clearly and concisely for a non-technical audience
Worked closely with
end-users to validate publications and improve usability
Some of my most recent technical writing projects
include:
The CMHC User’s
Guide for health-care agencies
Environmental Law
Reporter Product Guide, Nita Beck Communications, Rochester, NY
The DPM 2000 RIP
