"Chapman Stick® Night @ The Lion Fish", Philadelphia, Spring 1998.

"Invasion of Time" is a loop based free improv. duo/ trio composed of Paul Mimlitsch (Stick SB8®/ Loops) and Jim Speer (Midi' d Stick®/ Loops). In Sept. '97 "IoT" made its' debut at "TAGfest" (the Trenton Avante Garde Festival) and was very well recieved. Subsequent performances occured in Phila., the Spring of '98, at "Chapman Stick Night @ the Lion Fish" (in trio format w/ the addition of Percussionist Jody Janetta) and later that year at "TAGfest" '98 (where they performed twice, outside in the amphitheatre as a trio and inside at "Joe's" as a duo). "IoT" deals in extended, evolving collages of sound. The interplay between mellow/ harsh, smooth/ angular, loud/ quiet, all help drive the performance.
