Traditional Fly Fishing or Light Tackle Spin Fishing
With over 30 years of fly fishing experience pursuing salmon, steelhead, trout, pike, bass and various salwater species to include Mahimahi, stripers, blues and weakfish. It was only natural for me to be a guide.  With the vast amount of knowledge that I have gained I can help you in your pursuit of the many gamefish and techniques available to everyone.  During the summer months I fish in many bass tournaments.  The NYS Bass Federation, Indian Lakes Bassmasters are just some of the tournaments that I participate in.

Traditional Fly Fishing has been the mainstay and focus of my services. Whether you false cast, spey cast (two handed or one handed), whether you would like to swing spey flies, streamers, or bombers (dry flies).  Maybe your interest is dead drifting nymphs using indicators or highsticking.   Whatever your interest is I will try my very best to afford you the best opportunity to accomplish your goals.

Light tackle spin fishing.  This technique is normally used for those who prefer to fish in this manner.  However, there are times when the fly fisherperson must succumb to this technique due to the extreme cold.

Wading is the preferred method.  However, my services also include a drift boat (water taxi) which we'll use as a means to cover as much water as we can.

Traditional fly fishing and light tackle spin fishing at its best can be found in northern New York on the world renowned Salmon River in Pulaski.

Picture yourself  battling trophy size Chinook Salmon (20-35lbs) migrating from Lake Ontario, Cohos averaging 12 pounds that look like silver bullets as they first arrive in the river, Brown trout (5-20lbs) that you measure in pounds instead of inches, and of course the king of kings, the Steelhead (5-20lbs), with their acrobatic attitude and speedy runs. They will test your mental and physical abilities to the limit.  As an added bonus you have the chance to hook into Atlantic salmon.  Their numbers are small but the opportunity exists.

Warm water species are also available.  During the spring and summer months pike, bass (smallmouth or largemouth) also abound in the area for the adventurous person.
