Welcome to Poison's Icons. My name is Sonny and I am the creator of all the graphics you will find here. Poison's Icons started a couple of years ago as a means to showcase some icons that won a prize at The IconFactory's first Pixelpalooza contest. I suppose the |
| biggest prize is all the great e-mail I still receive regarding these little pictures. Thank you all.
I am the first generation born here in California. A byproduct of the federal governments Indian relocation experiment and my paternal grandparents want for a better way of life. I am Caddo and Osage; two different tribes located in Oklahoma. I am also half Mexican; my family there is from Jalisco. I mention these things because some have asked me where I believe my influences come from. There you have it. As for software I use PhotoShop, Illustrator and ResEdit for the icons. Adobe has made my life so much easier. I of course also owe Apple the same debt of gratitude. My favorite icon artist is Calle from Calle's Custom Icons. He is without doubt one of the best. The best site for Native American Graphics has to be SilverHawks. Sam's graphics can be seen gracing Native American pages across the web. Another great site for quality Native American Graphics is The Greasy Grass. Well worth taking a look.
All of my graphics at the Poison's Icons web site are free for personal use only. If you would like to use any of my graphics in profit generating ventures please contact me for the details. As has always been this sites policy a link is never required but always appreciated. If you would like to link back to this site a small line of type somewhere towards the bottom of your page directing people to my site would be great. If you are interested I have also created a little badge for that purpose. All links should point back to here, as this is the home page for my site. Enjoy your visit. Aho! |

I apologize for not updating these pages. I have been working on some new stuff and I hope to have an update soon. I hope to be adding new stuff every few days, for a little while anyway. If you purchased a license agreement to use the graphics for commercial |
projects and you have not received an e-mail from me, please contact me. I am putting together a CD with all of the graphics and I need to confirm your mailing address. |
| Fern Eastman Mathias- Nov. 27, 1930 - Mar. 31, 2002 |
 |
Today I attended the funeral for Fern Eastman Mathias. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting this courageous woman, I can honestly say I am better off because of her efforts. So many of us take for granted how we got where we are today. I applaud Fern Mathias |
and the American Indian Movement 's commitment to stand up, when so many of us are satisfied on our knees. Remember, you get what you put up with. Thank you Fern Eastman Mathias, you will be missed by many. |
