1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade Reenactment Unit ( Chicago )
1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade
1 Samodzielna Brygada Spadochronowa
Welcome to the web site for our Chicago area based reenactment unit.
Our official designation is

"Headquarters Platoon; 8th Company; 3rd Battalion; 1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade."

Our reenactment unit began with like minded Polish reenactors on the U.S. East Coast in 1998. The units have grown in size and are now seperate entities. We may pursue different paths in the course of our hobby, but there is one thing we all agree on. We try to do our best at all times to portray and tell the story of the Polish experience of World War II. The story of Poland in the struggles of 1939-45 is almost never talked about outside of Poland. We exist to correct that situation. Poland and its people were the fourth largest Ally in World War II, yet they are simply brushed aside. Were it not for everything that Poland and its people gave and suffered, it's quite possible the course of history may have been quite different. We exists to honor those Poles who fought and suffered...
